List of Scenes

We have created a list of scenes based upon our final storyboard and based on our whole film idea.  By doing this task it ables us to consider the film as a whole and give us more depth in to thinking about our opening. Knowing the whole film can help us gage what to put into our opening giving a slight hint and to steer us away from keeping it from looking like a trailer. We can look at what themes we would like to put into our film, and to gain inspiration from other films, as we have looked at openings and films as a whole in our genre which is Physiological Thriller.

  •  Opening scene, where we are introduced to the new reporters stressing about children missing, creating a montage of reporters which was inspired by the opening of 'Dawn of the Dead' (2004). We are also introduced to the small child 'Abigail' and her home life and also introduced to the villain.
  • We are shown the Mothers home life and work, 'biology teacher' and her commitment to her family.
  • We move onto the villains lower half (mid-shot) , creating a collage of photo's of the children he has taken, and drawing in his notepad his idea of traps (close up) etc and writing his 'Tick List'.
  • Abigail's behavior changes which does not go unnoticed and the twitches start to happen more frequently.
  • Abigail goes missing and it stresses the mother, who is trying to convince others to help her find her child and of those who has gone missing.
  • More children go missing, the situation is spiraling out of control as the mother has noticed that parents are starting to forget about their children.
  • The mother comes face to face with the villain and take memory notes of what she saw trying to figure out how and what she is going to do to get the others back.
  • The mother uses her knowledge on biology to take samples of DNA left on the 'Tick-list' she found to get inspiration and to find out what the creature is and discovers that he is trying to create a mutated army to take over the government.
  • Mother is started to see reflections of her daughter and other children in water and mirrors etc.
  • She confronts the villain to discover that she has to sacrifice either her daughters life or her own to save other children's lives or for the sake of her own happiness and the sanity of the government and humanity.
  • She sacrifices her life to save her daughters and others and kisses Abigail and tells her she loves her, before she is taken with them.
